Planet Earth

This place we live on is called planet earth. It needs us to keep it alive. If we work each individual to take even one action help preserve the environment then the environment degradation will both slow down and eventually as everyone makes changes to help the environment it will even get better.

This is very important let me tell you why. It is estimated that in 80 years Polar Bears will be extinct. It is also estimated that alot other species will either be on the edge of extinction or well on their way to it. We produce way too much trash. As the trash decays it gives off methane gas which combined with the CO2 that is being pumped into the environment is causing the greenhouse effect which is melting the polar ice caps and causing the extinction of the polar bears among other species. As the polar and artic ice melts it raises the ocean levels and also puts more water vapor into the atmosphere. H2O combined with other greenhouse gases only complicates the greenhouse effect. We are slowly roasting the planet.

If you do not believe me think about the last 5 years of weather changes. The changes in the last 5 years alone are so startling that you can not ignore the fact that yes the earth is indeed warming up. Summers are getting hotter and hotter every year. Fresh water lakes that are the life blood of many dry and arid regions are drying up not only because of the green house effect but also because of foolish human meddling with the way mother nature set up waterways to feed such lakes.

Yes many things are improving but there is so much more that can be done if we would each make a tiny effort or two to impact the world. So yes somethings are better but at the same time many things are not getting better instead they are getting worse.

So answer the call and make the pledge: http://www.liveearth.org/
